Tulane, Loyola, Dillard, UNO (ROTC courses only), SUNO (ROTC courses only), and Xavier Universities have a consortium agreement that allows eligible full-time undergraduate students to take up to two (2) courses in a fall or spring semester at any one of the schools within the consortium, with the approval of the student's Dean and Advisor. Cross enrollment is only allowed in the fall and spring terms. Tulane Students Consortium information can be found below.

Rules
- Students must be registered for at least nine credits of coursework at Tulane.
- Students are permitted to enroll in a maximum of two courses at the partner institution, or up to 6 credit hours.
- Core curriculum requirements or school-specific core requirements might not be approved for transfer credit. For more information, visit the NTC Catalog and review the “Transferring Credit to Tulane University” section.
- Additional restrictions may apply; interested students should contact their Academic Advisor.
- Students are financially responsible for course fees associated with courses taken at the host school, (example: lab, studio, or theater fees).
- All course fees must be paid in full before the end of the term directly to the host institution to allow transcripts to be sent to Tulane and grades to be posted to the Tulane academic record.
Procedures
1) You must have the course evaluated by the appropriate department if you would like the course to apply toward a major or minor. The chair or department advisor will sign the form and indicate approval or not.
2) Make an appointment with your academic advisor and bring a completed Tulane Student Consortium Approval Form. Your academic advisor will review each course.
3) IF TAKING COURSES AT LOYOLA:
ALL TULANE STUDENTS WILL SELF-REGISTER FOR COURSES AT LOYOLA.
- Your advisor will submit your Tulane Student Consortium Approval Form to Tulane’s Registrar’s Office using a Registrar Support form.
- Loyola’s Registrar’s Office will send you an instructional email on how to self-register for courses. Any questions about registering for classes at Loyola should be directed to Valencia Luke at Loyola University (luke@loyno.edu).
- Your consortium course will appear on your transcript once confirmation of enrollment has been received from Loyola.
4) IF TAKING COURSES AT DILLARD OR XAVIER:
- Bring this completed form and register for the course in the Registrar's Office at the partner institution:
- Dillard University, 116 Rosenwald Hall
- Xavier University, 3rd floor of University Center Grand Ballroom
- Once registered at the partner institution, please submit a copy of your registration along with completed Tulane Student Consortium Approval Form to Tulane’s Registrar’s Office so the course will appear on your transcript. This can be done using a Registrar Support form.
Visiting Students
Consortium registration forms will be accepted during the following time period:
Registration begins Monday, November 17, 2025. Classes will begin Monday, January 12, 2026 and registration information is due by this date. Registration closes on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Students are financially responsible for course fees associated with courses taken at the Tulane University, (example: lab, studio, band, theater, etc. fees). All course fees must be paid in full before the end of the term to allow transcripts to be sent to your home institution.
1) Students must complete Loyola Consortium Registration Form and obtain the approval of their Advisor or Department Chair and the Associate Dean or Dean of their College.
2) Students must first register for their course(s) in Loyola’s Office of Student Records (Thomas Hall 204) or email sturec@loyno.edu. A Tulane Consortium Confirmation Email will be sent to Loyola students with instructions on how to self-register for courses.
3) If during the semester you withdraw from the class, it is your responsibility to withdraw from the class at Tulane University as well as from Loyola.
4) An official transcript will be sent to your home institution at the end of the semester.

Students must then complete their registration in the Registrar's Office or upload their completed school consortium registration form and Consortium Student Information Packet to our Registrar Support form. If the course is not available, please return to the Registrar’s Office at Xavier and drop the course from your Xavier schedule.
3) If during the semester you withdraw from the class, it is your responsibility to withdraw from the class at the Tulane University as well as from Xavier.
4) An official transcript will be sent to your home institution at the end of the semester.
UNO and SUNO students are only able to take ROTC related courses at Tulane University.
1) Students must complete their school’s consortium registration form and obtain the approval of their Advisor or Department Chair and the Associate Dean or Dean of their College.
2) Students must then complete their registration in the Registrar's Office or upload their completed school consortium registration form and Consortium Student Information Packet to our Registrar Support form. Students must then provide confirmation of enrollment at the Registrar’s Office at UNO or SUNO.
3) If during the semester you withdraw from the class, it is your responsibility to withdraw from the class at Tulane University as well as from UNO or SUNO.
4) An official transcript will be sent to your home institution at the end of the semester.

Course Offerings, Waitlists, Restrictions:
Course offerings are located on the Schedule of Classes
When reviewing a course in Tulane's Schedule of Classes, any pre-requisite for the course will be listed in the "Course Notes."
In order to gain this approval, you will need to reach out to the department or the instructor.
You can find contact information for instructors by searching their name on the main Tulane University website (search instructor name found on class schedule).
When you receive approval, upload the approval email to our Consortium Student Information Packet to our Registrar Support form with the description "[Your Name] Consortium Departmental/Instructor Approval."
If the course has a waitlist, we can add you to it. Once you receive the waitlist notice at your Tulane email address that a seat has become available, you will have 48 hours to claim your seat in the class. Loyola Students will be able to add themselves to the course on Tulane's Schedule of Classes. All other Consortium students will need to contact the Registrar's office so a staff member may register you in the course as you are unable to register yourself.
- Complete your registration in the Registrar's Office or upload your completed school consortium registration form and Consortium Student Information Packet to our Registrar Support form.
- The Registrar staff will ensure that you have been added to our system so that you receive your Tulane username information within 24 hours of the process being completed.
- If the course is introductory, you will register as you would with any course.
- To register for an advanced course, you will follow the instructions based on the department of your language of choice for placement process. Please visit the Language Placement page for more information.
- When you receive the results of your language placement, upload the results using our Registrar Support form to complete registration. Include the description "[Your Name] Consortium Language Placement."
Student/Class Information:
You should receive an email from IT within 24 hours of being registered. The information will be sent to the email you provided on your consortium request form. If you have not received this email, please reach out to the IT department. Contact information for them can be found @ https://it.tulane.edu.
Once you are registered, you can visit Card Services to obtain a Splash Card. You can find contact information for them @ https://splashcard.tulane.edu.
- Use your Tulane account to log into your Gibson account.
- Once you are on Gibson, click on your Student Tab
- Under the "Services" section, click the Canvas hyperlink. (The direct link is https://tulane.instructure.com)
- Use your Tulane account to log into your Gibson account.
- On Gibson, select “View TU Enrollment Verification” on the left column under "Records."
- View your student ID in the top right corner of the request page.
- If you are unable to see your ID, contact us.
