Student Data & Systems Access

Systems

The Office of the Registrar stewards several applications to maintain student records and grants and regulates access to the following:

  • Banner Student Information System
  • Courseleaf’s CLSS (class scheduling), CIM (curriculum management), and CAT (academic catalog)
  • Degree Works degree audits
  • Major/minor certification tool
  • Degree certification tool (“Commencement link”)
  • Grade Change Dashboard
  • Gibson’s Advisor tab

For any tools outside our scope, contact the appropriate steward:

  • Cognos and Self-Service Reports access is maintained by Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) (bia@tulane.edu). Report/data requests are also fulfilled by BIA.
  • Salesforce access is maintained by Information Technology (help@tulane.edu).
  • Slate access is stewarded by individual schools, so contact your school’s admission representative.

Systems training

Effective May 2022, new users or existing users requesting new access must complete FERPA training and application-specific training prior to access.

FERPA training

FERPA training is in two parts: the training content (about 45 minutes) and the assessment (about 15 minutes). Both must be completed to satisfy the FERPA training requirement. (Note: The link above will not work for affiliate employees. Contact our office so that we can provide access to FERPA training for your affiliate employees.)

Application-specific training

Contact our office to be connected with application expert on our team for training.
